Treatments
Muscle relaxants:
Botox® This is the single most effective and by far the most popular aesthetic procedure in the world. Botox can erase lines and wrinkles, improve facial contour and improve eye shape in a matter of days By using facial muscles repeatedly throughout our lifetime, the skin is creased in areas of greatest use. The aging process causes the slow down of collagen and elastin production in the skin so that as we get older these areas of over use become damaged and the lines become permanent. A muscle relaxant treatment involves an intramuscular injection which stops the skin being creased so lines soften or even fade away. The results of the treatment become apparent after 2-7 days and the effects should last about 3-4 months. The treatment takes only 5-10 minutes, and is very painless. Latest research has shown that when patients have undergone botox treatments for a few years, the wrinkles are erased permanently. Chemical Peels
There are a number of skin peels to treat a variety of skin conditions. Skin peels can not only treat the face but also the décolletage as well as the backs of hands. Peels are used to rejuvenate the skin, improve skin quality, remove wrinkles, improve acne scarring and to reduce sun spots and uneven pigmentation. The skin is the largest organ in the body. With the process of peeling we are speeding up the regeneration of the skin, allowing the healthy new skin to come to the surface. In addition the process of chemical peeling induces new collagen to rush up to the surface of the skin. The treatment takes 15-30 minutes and involves gently applying the special peel solution to the relevant areas. The peel solutions are neutralised once the correct amount of peeling is achieved and the aftercare cream is applied. All of the peels we use are very safe. Usually the only discomfort is that of a stinging which can be described as mild sunburn. With some of the stronger peels, there can be a temporary burning sensation. |
Dermal Fillers:
Restylane, Emerval & Juvederm Dermal fillers are used to soften and contour lines, folds and wrinkles. The most commonly used dermal fillers are hyaluronic based, a substance found naturally occurring in our skin. The gel based solution is injected into the skin's dermis to add volume and create a more youthful appearance. Fillers are the ideal solution for those wanting to soften deep lines from the mouth to the nose, enhance the lips, create a more defined lip border and lift the corners of the mouth. Fillers can also be used for facial contouring to give volume to the cheeks and to also lift the face . They are injected through a tiny needle and the results are instantaneous. The newly injected hyaluronic acid attracts water and integrates with the surrounding collagen restoring the youthful facial appearance. Non-Surgical Face-lift
As we get older hyaluronic acid, collagen, elastin and natural facial fat is lost from our skin. This together with the result of extrinsic factors such as sun exposure, the environment and smoking results in the appearance of fine lines, loss of elasticity and skin dehydration. In addition the skull also atrophies and with gravity the skin sags. By combining the use of fillers and botox it is easy to create a more youthful looking you, erasing lines and wrinkles and lifting the face without the need for what people fear the most, surgery. By restoring volume we can achieve a natural non-surgical face lift. |
